All you need to do to get started is to download and complete a Youth United Application:

Applications may be turned in at any point between May 1, 2018 and April 1, 2019. Email signed and completed applications to:

You will be contacted by a Youth United representative to let you know you are successfully enrolled in the program. 


Spend time volunteering at school (tutoring, coaching, etc.), at community non-profit organizations, or in your church. 

Need help finding volunteer opportunities? We will be posting some of them on this website under Volunteer and Events. Contact the organization to ask about how you can get started volunteering.

Make sure you read the Rules & Restrictions to make sure the volunteer work can be counted towards a Youth United aware.

Track & Verify Volunteer Hours

Track your volunteer hours. Record where and when you volunteer, how long you volunteer, and what you did while there.

  • Hours Tracking Form
    You do not need to turn in this form. It is just to help you keep track of your hours.

Get your hours verified by the person supervising your volunteer work every month. Download and fill out and email to or submit online.

Get Recognized

Once you have completed your service hours and those hours have been verified, you will contacted to let you know you will be receiving an award or letter.

Youth Engaged in Service Award
Teens in grades 6-12 can earn a Service Aware when they volunteer for a total of 75 hours in one year. Awards will be given at a special ceremony in May 2019.

Letter in Community Service

Teens in grades 9-12 can earn a Letter in Community Service when they volunteer for a total of 150 hours in one year.
